Since its launch on the BBC in 2004, Strictly Come Dancing has become a fixture of British autumn and winter evenings. Each series pairs well-known faces with professional dancers, who teach them the waltz, the tango, the cha-cha-cha and much more.

A simple but winning formula

Each week, the couples perform in front of a panel of judges, whose scores are combined with the public vote. The pair with the fewest votes faces a dance-off, until one couple finally lifts the famous glitterball trophy in the final in December.
